Lead Landscaper

Location: Confidential, Atherton, CA
Hourly Rate: $35 - $45 per hour (DOE)

Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Landscaper to maintain and enhance the grounds of a residence in Atherton, CA. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has an eye for detail, and can proactively care for high-end outdoor spaces. The role involves a combination of landscape maintenance, general property upkeep, and occasional repair tasks, all aimed at ensuring the estate’s outdoor areas are beautifully maintained and functional.

Key Responsibilities

• Landscape and Grounds Care: Perform a full range of landscaping tasks, including planting, trimming, mowing, fertilizing, and mulching to uphold the aesthetics of the estate’s gardens and lawns.
• Outdoor Area Maintenance: Ensure outdoor living areas, furniture, and fixtures are clean, organized, and in excellent condition. Perform regular power washing of patios, decks, and walkways.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an organized workspace, manage tools and supplies, and ensure all equipment is stored securely and kept in good working order.

Supportive Responsibilities

• Minor Repairs and Maintenance: Handle small repairs in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry as needed. Coordinate with the Property Manager and assist in overseeing vendor work for larger maintenance projects.
• Sanitation and Pest Control: Manage waste removal, maintain trash bins, and implement pest control measures, such as setting up bait stations as required.
• Communication and Flexibility: Regularly communicate with the Property Manager, provide timely updates on projects, and be prepared to assist with various additional tasks as requested by the principals.

Typical Routine: Begin your day by reviewing the daily tasks and prioritizing key areas on the property that need attention. Start with an inspection of the gardens and outdoor spaces, noting any areas needing extra care, such as weeding or watering. You’ll proceed with scheduled landscaping tasks—such as mowing, trimming, or planting seasonal flowers—and ensure outdoor furniture is clean and organized. After completing landscape tasks, address any minor repairs, organize tools, and communicate with the Property Manager regarding any larger projects or maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Availability: Flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
